ANCESTRAL DISTILLATION

The ancestral distillation method used to craft this mezcal is unique to its hometown in Durango. It involves the use of small, handcrafted clay pots at the base of the still. Though challenging to work with, yet essential to the process. These clay pots impart a soft, colloidal texture and a distinctive mouthfeel to the mezcal. The upper chamber is a traditional Filipino-style wooden still, which adds subtle woody notes to the already complex spirit. As the alcohol condenses, it flows through a bamboo tube and gently drips into a collector, completing this time-honored process.
